We had a beautiful dinner at this cosy friendly restaurant!! The partridge mashed bread (migas) was absolutely superb! Also we recommend the bull steak and the mushrooms with chestnuts, the house wine is very delicious and goes pretty well with this comfort fantastic food! Thank you very much Manuel for being a great Cicerone!!

Very good small family restaurant, friendly welcoming staff, food is great from starter to dessert, by far the best around.

We are still marveling about the fantastic lunch we enjoyed. Jose was masterful at attending to our every question on his fairly extensive menu. The room is cozy, feels like dining in a friend's home.Roast partridge was succulent, lamb chops were perfect, starters of tomato soup and mushrooms were surprising. If we lived closer, we'd dine here weekly.Muito obrigada por tudo, Jose!

Outstanding. We had the lamb, pork and mushrooms, cuttlefish and pork rolls. For starters we had “peixinhos da horta” - allmelas were EXCELLENT. Good quality of food and great cooking skills. Small but cozy place. Everybody extremely nice. Definitely coming back.PS- don’t forget to ask for “migas”

Excellent little family restaurant with polite and welcoming reception, delicious, well prepared and nicely presented food at a reasonable price. We always try to go for anything offered on the daily suggestion list and for the house wine, were delighted by both. Started with a good local bread, some home-made aioli, then a tomato soup with poached egg and crispy bacon rashers, perfect starter after our local hike up along the stream and in the hills. We then chose Tuna steak à la plancha, cooked to perfection and served with home-made potato chips, potato migas, asparagus migas and a plate of crispy lettuce, tomato and onion slices. To end the meal we chose a coffee and brandy chocolate mouse and a tyical Alentejan cake called Sericaia served with a preserved Reine-Claude plum, drizzled with honey and cinnamon. 2 espressos and a complimentary shot-glass of their local Ginga. The place, and the food did not disappoint, on the contrary. We shall highly recommend it and definitely visit again. Thank you Maria Beatriz and José for your professionalism and attentiveness, this made for a great local food experience.

Small place with big heart! Welcoming proprietor, great local wines, and delicious food. Four of us stopped in for a snack, but stayed to enjoy a great meal instead. This is a must-stop after visiting attractions such as the tapestry museum and cathedral!

Traditional kitchen with fresh products. Nothing too complicated. Delicious, both the fish and the meat plates. Accompanying vegetables and patatoes are a plus! Very good red housewine. Excellent price for quality. We went there twice!
